Programs are a great way to meet like-minded people while doing fun things! Each program has their own activities based on participants' needs. From cooking classes to group therapy, we work hard towards a healthy and happy community - together. Read below for all of the current programs that Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center offers.
Youth Programs
Rainbow Cafe was founded in 2000 as a youth organization to support the LGBTQIA+ young people of Southern Illinois. Here are our current program offerings available to LGBTQIA+ youth and their friends ages 25 and under. Our programs are grouped by age, and we have many community events throughout the year that are open to the public, as well.

ARC - THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY ON HIATUS

For all LGBTQIA+ youth and friends ages 13 to 17. Social group, board games and coordinated workshops, counselor-led discussion groups covering social and mental health topics, allyship, and more. Interested in learning more? Email [email protected]. |

ELEVATE - THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY ON HIATUS

ADULTING WHILE QUEER - THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY ON HIATUS
For all LGBTQIA+ adults ages 25 to 50. Events happen throughout the year, and are advertised on social media. Interested in learning more? Email [email protected]. TRANS-FORMATION
For transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse adults ages 18 and older. This is a facilitator led support group with games, chatting, and support in a welcoming environment. Interested in learning more? Email [email protected]. Safe T.E.A.
For individuals who utilize HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) via injection ages 16 and older. This a support group facilitated by medical and mental health professionals. Interested in learning more? Email [email protected]. UNconditional
