These agreements not only apply in our building, but also any virtual meetings or off-site Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center events. We thank you for your collaboration in creating warm and welcoming spaces.
Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center is a space for everyone. Please be considerate of your fellow visitors and avoid making assumptions about anyone's age, race, gender, sexuality, pronouns, or even their reason for being here.
Embracing Diversity and Respect |
Why you're at Rainbow Cafe may not be why the person next to you is here - they may be here to get sober, speak to a mental health counselor, hang out after school, seek out legal support, or for some other reason.

If you break these community agreements...
First and foremost, Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center believes in restorative justice. This means before anything else, we will try to do nonpunitive measures to resolve conflict and harm.
We may ask you to leave if you are unable or unwilling to follow our community guidelines. We also may take any action we deem appropriate for the safe and proper operation of Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center. This may include suspension from our building and services and in an emergency or as a last resort, we may contact 911. Whenever possible, Rainbow Cafe will support opportunities for individuals suspended to re-engage with us. This will occur on a case-by-case basis and may include a two-way discussion, recognition of the harm caused to people, making amends, and forgiveness.
If you feel you have been treated unfairly by Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center or wish to provide other feedback about your experience here, you can email us at [email protected].
