where are you located?
Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center has its own building! We're located at 118 N Illinois Avenue in downtown Carbondale at the intersection of Highway 51 and Route 13. Nearby businesses include fringe, Amtrak, Thai Taste, Cristaudo's, PK's, Dona Camila, and Tres Hombres.
What kind of coffee do you sell?
Our longest-standing question. Proudly not serving coffee since 2000. We don't sell coffee, it's just the name that our founders picked—the term "café" was used to refer to it as a hangout spot. We do offer free coffee and tea at our community events, though!

What about the tool library?
Carbondale Tool Library is a project that aims to equip the community with tools free of charge. Please email [email protected] or find Carbondale Tool Library on Facebook to set up an appointment.
Where can I park?
Metered street parking is enforced within Carbondale city limits Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Before 8 AM, after 6 PM, or anytime Sunday, street parking is free. Accessible parking is available behind our building in the arched brick lot, and additional parking can be found across the street at the pavilion. WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A CAR?
Ride your bike! We have bike racks directly outside the Rainbow Cafe community center. You can use one of the two bike racks in front or the pavilion across the street.
