BIO
Claire is a lifelong resident of Carbondale and has worked in family and community advocacy roles for over 10 years. She has a background in communications and marketing and holds a Master of Social Work degree from SIU Carbondale. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Population Health. Her passion and research is centered around advancing the community health worker and peer support specialist workforce in Southern Illinois.
Claire is also one of the founders of The Little Resource Center - a family resource and support organization that specializes in maternity and early childhood care.
